Secretary and Volunteer Committee Leader 

Lottie plays an active role in several baskets in Cheyenne, and we are so excited she is joining Threads of Hope!

"Hello, I have six children, and we have been in Cheyenne for the past eleven years. I spend most of my time volunteering at my kids' schools, church, and homeschooling! My Mother was a foster child, and I’ve always been passionate about the foster community. I’m thrilled to be a part of the Threads of Hope team." - Lottie .

Volunteer Committee Member 

Angie is a kinship mom within Laramie County and was adopted herself at 21 months old. Angie is also currently Mrs. Cheyenne 2026!

Angie is excited to be a new board member with Threads of Hope! Helping children is a blessing. My husband of 31 years, Butch, and I have 4 biological children, one in heaven and 4 beautiful granddaughters. We are raising one of our granddaughters, who has been a great addition to our everyday lives .

Marketing and Communications Committee Leader

 My name is Samantha. I’m a Cheyenne native. I have three daughters and one very loved fiance. I’ve always had a heart for helping others and making a difference wherever I can. I believe even the smallest act of kindness can bring hope to someone who needs it most. Being able to support people during difficult times, help meet their needs, and remind them that they’re cared for is something that truly fills my heart and always has.

Threads of Hope is SO excited for Samantha to be on the board at our marketing and communication committee leader and is also on the events committee! She brings so much passion and energy to our mission! 

Volunteer Committee

Maria joins us with years of volunteer experience in the community.  She’s been a mentor and a board member at Youth Alternatives, a foster parent, worked at the Laramie County library with youth special events and in their book sale room.  She was a troop leader for Boy Scouts of America, and a supporter and team captain for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.    

Her career began at the telephone company, in Customer Service, and being a manager in their executive office.  Most recently she was employed with Laramie County School  District 1, in the office, and as an elementary librarian.  She raised a successful son who now teaches high school English, and one of her favorite sayings is ‘A Hundred Years From Now’ …it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove … but the world may be different because I was important in the life of a CHILD. 

Community Connections Committee Leader

For the past 27 years, I have had the privilege of working in roles focused on helping and supporting others. My passion for this work is both professional and personal. I have fostered my nephew, giving me firsthand insight into the challenges children and families can face within the foster care system.

I have called Cheyenne, Wyoming, home for the past eight years. I earned my Disability Services Technician degree in 1999, my BSW in 2007, my MSW in 2024, and became an LCSW in 2026.

What fills my cup is seeing people gain the tools and skills to move from trauma responses to becoming confident, capable, and empowered individuals. I believe most parents genuinely want what is best for their children, but their own experiences and challenges can sometimes make it difficult to know what that looks like or how to get there. I believe parents deserve support, compassion, and the opportunity to grow.

I believe we must **be the change we desire to see**. For me, that means spreading hope, resilience, empathy, and dedication while standing alongside children and families during some of their most difficult moments. I am honored to bring my experience, perspective, and passion to this board.
